CTIA’s TZM Alloy Fastener

1. What’s TZM Alloy Fastener?
TZM Alloy Fastener (Titanium Zirconium Molybdenum Alloy Fastener) is a high-temperature fastening component, including TZM bolts, nuts, screws, studs, washers, and pins, designed for fixing and connecting components in high-temperature, vacuum, and thermal cycling environments. CTIA’s TZM molybdenum alloy fasteners use molybdenum (Mo) as the matrix and incorporate titanium (Ti: 0.40%–0.55%), zirconium (Zr: 0.06%–0.12%), and carbon (C: 0.01%–0.04%) to form TiC and ZrC dispersion-strengthened phases. Manufactured through powder metallurgy processes, TZM fasteners provide excellent high-temperature strength, creep resistance, and structural stability, maintaining reliable connection performance during long-term high-temperature service.
2. Advantages of CTIA’s TZM Alloy Fastener
(1) Excellent high-temperature strength: Provides outstanding load-bearing capability, with room-temperature tensile strength reaching 600–900MPa and maintaining high strength above 1000°C, reducing the risk of softening and failure during high-temperature service.
(2) Excellent creep resistance: TiC and ZrC dispersion-strengthened phases improve creep resistance by effectively hindering grain boundary sliding at elevated temperatures, maintaining stable performance under long-term loading conditions (tensile strength approximately 500MPa at 1000°C).
(3) Excellent dimensional stability: With a high recrystallization temperature of approximately 1350–1450°C and a low coefficient of thermal expansion of approximately 5.5–5.9×10⁻⁶/K, it maintains dimensional accuracy during repeated heating and cooling cycles, reducing changes in fastening clearance.
(4) Excellent high-temperature vacuum performance: With a high melting point of approximately 2620°C, low vapor pressure, and stable high-temperature microstructure, it is suitable for long-term service in vacuum furnaces and high-temperature furnaces.
(5) Excellent precision machining capability: Supports the manufacturing of complex fastening structures through machining, including miniature threads, special geometries, and customized dimensions to meet high-precision assembly requirements.
3. Applications of CTIA’s TZM Alloy Fastener
CTIA’s TZM alloy fasteners are mainly used in: (1) furnace structure fixation in vacuum furnaces and high-temperature heat treatment equipment; (2) high-temperature component connections in semiconductor equipment; (3) assembly of high-temperature aerospace structural components; (4) heat-resistant fastening components in glass melting equipment and rare metal processing equipment; (5) industrial equipment requiring high-temperature strength and long-term reliable connections.
4. Specifications of CTIA’s TZM Alloy Fastener
