CTIA’s TZM Alloy in Furnace Heat Shields

CTIA’s TZM alloy (Titanium Zirconium Molybdenum) uses molybdenum (Mo) as the matrix with titanium (Ti), zirconium (Zr), and carbon (C) additions to form TiC and ZrC dispersion-strengthened phases. Manufactured through powder metallurgy, CTIA’s TZM alloy undergoes raw material control, uniform powder mixing, compaction, sintering, hot working, and precision machining processes to achieve stable microstructure and reliable high-temperature performance. TZM meets the requirements of furnace heat shields exposed to high-temperature radiation, thermal cycling, and vacuum or protective atmosphere conditions, including high-temperature strength, thermal deformation resistance, dimensional stability, and long-term service reliability. (1) Stable High-Temperature Performance
Melting point of approximately 2620℃ and excellent high-temperature strength maintain structural stability under long-term thermal radiation conditions in high-temperature furnaces, meeting continuous service requirements for heat shields.

Excellent creep resistance and a recrystallization temperature of approximately 1350–1450℃ reduce dimensional changes during prolonged high-temperature exposure and improve the stability of heat shield structures.
