CTIA’s TZM Alloy Nut

1. What's TZM Alloy Nut?
TZM Alloy Nut (Titanium Zirconium Molybdenum Alloy Nut) is a high-temperature internal threaded fastening component featuring excellent high-temperature strength, creep resistance, and dimensional stability. It maintains thread accuracy, thread engagement stability, and connection reliability during long-term high-temperature service, and is mainly used with bolts for reliable fastening of equipment components in high-temperature, vacuum, and thermal cycling environments. CTIA’s TZM nut uses molybdenum (Mo) as the matrix with titanium (Ti: 0.40%–0.55%), zirconium (Zr: 0.06%–0.12%), and carbon (C: 0.01%–0.04%) additions to form TiC and ZrC dispersion-strengthened phases. It is manufactured through powder metallurgy and precision internal thread machining processes.
2. Advantages of CTIA’s TZM Alloy Nut
(1) High-temperature fastening reliability: With excellent high-temperature strength and creep resistance, achieving a tensile strength of 600–900MPa, the nut maintains stable preload under long-term high-temperature loading, reducing thread loosening, connection failure, and structural deformation risks.
(2) Excellent high-temperature dimensional stability: With a recrystallization temperature of approximately 1350–1450°C, the nut suppresses microstructural changes and dimensional variation at elevated temperatures, ensuring thread fitting accuracy and long-term assembly reliability.
(3) Excellent thermal cycling resistance: With a coefficient of thermal expansion of approximately 5.5–5.9×10⁻⁶/K, the nut reduces thermal stress caused by expansion differences during rapid heating and cooling cycles, making it suitable for repeated fastening applications under thermal cycling conditions.
(4) High-precision thread machining capability: Through precision CNC machining and internal thread processing, thread pitch, dimensional tolerances, and surface roughness are strictly controlled. M2–M30 threads and customized specifications can be manufactured to meet high-precision assembly requirements.
(5) Excellent high-temperature vacuum compatibility: With low vapor pressure, low outgassing characteristics, and excellent high-temperature stability, the nut maintains clean and reliable connections in vacuum and inert atmosphere environments, making it suitable for critical fastening applications in high-temperature furnaces, semiconductor equipment, and vacuum systems.
3. Applications of CTIA’s TZM Alloy Nut
CTIA’s TZM alloy nut is mainly used for precision fastening connections in high-temperature, vacuum, and thermal cycling environments, including:
(1) Vacuum high-temperature furnaces: Used for fastening heating components, heat shields, support structures, and thermal field components inside furnaces for long-term high-temperature operation.
(2) Semiconductor manufacturing equipment: Used for wafer heat treatment systems, vacuum chambers, and high-temperature structural components to provide stable fastening for critical parts.
(3) Sapphire and crystal growth equipment: Used for internal furnace structure connections to maintain reliable fixation during high-temperature melting and crystal growth processes.
(4) Assembly of molybdenum and tungsten high-temperature components: Used for connecting TZM plates, TZM rods, tungsten products, and other refractory metal components to improve overall structural stability.
(5) Aerospace and high-temperature testing equipment: Used in precision structural connections requiring high-temperature resistance, low thermal expansion, and long-term reliability.
4. Specifications of CTIA’s TZM Alloy Nut
(1) Types: Hex nuts, cylindrical nuts, square nuts, and customized designs
(2) Dimensions: Customized outer diameters, heights, and thread sizes available
(3) Customization: Special structures and non-standard configurations available according to application requirements
