CTIA’s TZM Alloy Filament Clamp

1. What's TZM Alloy Filament Clamp?
TZM Alloy Filament Clamp (Titanium Zirconium Molybdenum Alloy Filament Clamp) serves as a precision clamping component, enabling stable fixation, positioning, and electrical connection of filaments, cathode wires, and heating elements in high-temperature vacuum and electric heating applications. TZM alloy uses molybdenum as the matrix and incorporates titanium (Ti), zirconium (Zr), and carbon (C) elements to form TiC and ZrC dispersion-strengthened phases, improving high-temperature strength, creep resistance, and structural stability. CTIA manufactures TZM materials through powder metallurgy processes, followed by precision machining to produce filament clamps with excellent high-temperature stability, dimensional accuracy, and long-term reliability for vacuum electronic devices, electric heating equipment, and high-temperature heating systems.
2. Advantages of CTIA’s TZM Alloy Filament Clamp
(1) Stable High-Temperature Clamping Performance
With a melting point of approximately 2620°C, it maintains high strength and rigidity under elevated temperatures, ensuring stable filament positioning and reducing loosening and deformation.
(2) Excellent Creep Resistance
TiC and ZrC strengthening phases stabilize the alloy microstructure, reducing creep under long-term high-temperature stress and ensuring reliable clamping performance.
(3) Excellent Dimensional Stability
With a recrystallization temperature above 1400°C, it maintains stable microstructure and dimensional accuracy during thermal cycling, reducing clamping gap changes caused by thermal expansion and creep, and improving filament operating stability and service life.
(4) Strong Thermal Cycling Resistance
With a coefficient of thermal expansion of approximately 5.5×10⁻⁶/K, it reduces thermal stress caused by repeated heating and cooling cycles and improves long-term reliability.
(5) High Precision Machining Capability
Supports machining of miniature clamping structures, positioning slots, mounting holes, and complex geometries to meet different filament specifications and equipment assembly requirements.
3. Applications of CTIA’s TZM Alloy Filament Clamp
CTIA’s TZM alloy filament clamp is used in:
(1) Vacuum electronic device filament assemblies for filament fixation and positioning under high-temperature conditions;
(2) Electron beam equipment cathode assemblies to maintain stable filament positioning during operation;
(3) Electric light source equipment filament support structures for reliable clamping under high-temperature electrical operation;
(4) Vacuum coating equipment heating assemblies for fixing high-temperature heating wires and heating elements;
(5) Other precision fixing components in high-temperature vacuum and electric heating systems.
