CTIA’s TZM alloy (Titanium Zirconium Molybdenum) is used for high-temperature components in glass stirrers, including stirring shafts, stirring rods, and stirring blades. Manufactured through powder metallurgy processes, TZM uses high-purity molybdenum powder as the matrix with titanium (Ti: 0.40–0.55%), zirconium (Zr: 0.06–0.12%), and carbon (C: 0.01–0.04%) additions to form TiC and ZrC strengthening phases. It provides good high-temperature strength, creep resistance, and dimensional stability, meeting the long-term operating requirements of glass stirrers under molten glass, rotary loads, and thermal cycling conditions. CTIA’s TZM alloy is widely used in photovoltaic glass, electronic glass, optical glass, and specialty glass manufacturing.
