CTIA’s TZM Alloy in Sintering Boats

CTIA’s TZM alloy (Titanium Zirconium Molybdenum) in sintering boats is a molybdenum-based alloy dispersion-strengthened by TiC and ZrC carbide phases through Ti, Zr, and C additions. Produced via powder metallurgy and precision machining, it delivers a stable microstructure and reliable high-temperature performance. As critical load-bearing components in the high-temperature sintering of powder metallurgy, cemented carbides, and ceramics, sintering boats must endure extreme heat, thermal cycling, and heavy loads. This demands exceptional high-temperature strength, deformation resistance, and dimensional stability. TZM is ideal for manufacturing sintering boats, setter plates, and trays for demanding sintering processes.
Advantages of CTIA’s TZM Alloy in Sintering Boats
(1) Strong High-Temperature Load-Bearing Capability
With a melting point of approximately 2620℃, it maintains high-temperature strength and withstands continuous thermal loads with reduced deformation.
(2) Excellent Thermal Deformation Resistance
With a recrystallization temperature of approximately 1350–1450℃, it provides creep resistance and maintains dimensional stability during long-term sintering.
(3) Reliable Thermal Cycling Stability
With a coefficient of thermal expansion of approximately 5.5–5.9×10⁻⁶/K, it reduces thermal stress during repeated heating and cooling cycles.
(4) Excellent Microstructural Stability
TiC and ZrC dispersion-strengthened phases inhibit grain growth and maintain stable performance during long-term high-temperature operation.
(5) Strong Machining Adaptability
Precision machining is available for sintering boats, sintering plates, and customized structural components according to application requirements.
