1. What's TZM Alloy Piercing Plug?
TZM Alloy Piercing Plug (Titanium Zirconium Molybdenum Alloy Piercing Plug) is high-temperature seamless steel tube hot piercing tool manufactured from high-purity molybdenum raw materials. It uses molybdenum (Mo≥99.95%) as the matrix and incorporates titanium (Ti: 0.40%–0.55%), zirconium (Zr: 0.06%–0.12%), and carbon (C: 0.01%–0.04%) to form TiC and ZrC dispersion-strengthened phases, improving comprehensive performance under high-temperature, high-pressure, and severe friction conditions. CTIA’s TZM alloy piercing plug provides excellent high-temperature strength, creep resistance, thermal shock resistance, and deformation resistance, making it an important high-temperature tooling material for seamless steel tube hot piercing processes.

2. Advantages of CTIA’s TZM Alloy Piercing Plug
(1) Excellent high-temperature strength retention: Melting point of approximately 2620°C, maintaining high strength under steel tube piercing temperatures to reduce deformation.
(2) Excellent thermal shock resistance: Low coefficient of thermal expansion of approximately 5.5–5.9×10⁻⁶/K, withstanding thermal stresses caused by repeated heating and cooling cycles.
(3) Good wear resistance: TiC and ZrC dispersion-strengthened phases improve hardness and structural stability, reducing high-temperature friction and wear.
(4) Strong creep resistance: Strengthening phases effectively inhibit dislocation movement and grain boundary sliding, extending service life under long-term high-temperature operation.
