CTIA’s TZM Alloy Round Block

TZM Alloy Round Block Picture

1. What's TZM Alloy Round Block?
TZM alloy round block, also known as titanium zirconium molybdenum alloy round block, is high-performance molybdenum-based alloy strengthened by TiC and ZrC dispersion-strengthened phases. In addition to the molybdenum (Mo) matrix, its typical composition includes titanium (Ti) 0.40%–0.55%, zirconium (Zr) 0.06%–0.12%, and carbon (C) 0.01%–0.04%. Through the uniform distribution of carbide strengthening phases within the molybdenum matrix, TZM alloy round block provides excellent creep resistance, high-temperature strength, and dimensional stability in high-temperature environments, making it suitable for long-term service under high-load and high-temperature conditions.

2. Advantages of CTIA’s TZM Alloy Round Block
(1) Excellent high-temperature strength: Melting point of approximately 2620°C, with room-temperature tensile strength of 600–900MPa and reliable load-bearing capability above 1000°C.
(2) Strong creep resistance: TiC and ZrC dispersion-strengthened phases effectively inhibit dislocation movement, improving long-term high-temperature stability.
(3) Excellent structural stability: Recrystallization temperature of approximately 1350–1450°C, with suppressed grain growth and excellent dimensional stability at elevated temperatures.
(4) Excellent thermal properties: Density of approximately 10.15–10.22g/cm³ and coefficient of thermal expansion of approximately 5.5–5.9×10⁻⁶/K, providing good thermal shock resistance and thermal stability.
(5) Good machinability: Supports turning, grinding, milling, drilling, and other precision machining processes, with customized specifications available.

3. Applications of CTIA’s TZM Alloy Round Block
CTIA’s TZM alloy round block is used in:
(1) High-temperature die blanks, serving as machining blanks for forging dies, extrusion dies, hot forming dies, piercing plugs, and other high-temperature tooling;
(2) Vacuum high-temperature equipment, including load trays, support bases, thermal field components, and high-temperature structural parts for vacuum furnaces;
(3) Semiconductor and crystal growth equipment, including thermal field components and load-bearing components in single crystal silicon growth furnaces and sapphire crystal growth furnaces;
(4) Precision high-temperature components, including X-ray rotating anode shafts, glass melting equipment components, and other high-temperature structural parts.
